Happy New Year! Still getting back in the swing of things over here as I try to put the house back together. I wanted to share the last design I received from our Crate & Barrel Digital Designer.
That’s the bedroom for us grown folks. Admittedly, I put a lot more thought into what I wanted for Lady Pep’s room and Master Ace’s room but there were a few non-negotiable items.
Non-Negotiables
First of all, we knew the room had to be purple. Our previous bedroom was a nice purple color and we both really liked it.
Secondly, there had to be a king sized bed. When we first spoke I mentioned that I was interested in an upholstered headboard. A bit of a departure from our norm.
Isn’t it sophisticated? And those sconces are just so gorgeous.
Next and I’m just keeping it real. We had to account for the TV. I know there’s guidance around not having a tv in the bedroom but whatevs!
In a lot of designs you never see the tv ( or wires amirght?)but I knew we would have one and I wanted advice on the best placement.
Lastly, I had to see if my armoire could fit somewhere before we dragged it up the stairs. And look, perfect fit!
Nice additions
Check out this yellow chair! I wouldn’t think to put a chair in our room but this is so pretty. Plus I love the color!
Give me all the vases! I’m just over the moon for the nightstand and how it’s decorated. When I think about having a finished look these are the things that I’m never really sure about. It’s awesome to have this template to refer back to.
All in all, I really like the design for our bedroom. Functionally there were some changes that had to be made but that is a post for another day.
